Abstract: THE INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM ASHP HOSPITALS PROVIDES THE PRELIMINARY DATA ON DRUG SHORTAGES WHICH IS NECESSARY TO CONDUCT FURTHER INVESTIGATION. WHATEVER INFORMATION IS PROVIDED BY HOSPITAL PHARMACIS IS AMPLIFIED BY FDA'S INVESTIGATION AND USED BY PHARMACISTS TO DEAL WITH THE SHORTAGE.
