Abstract: THE 1982 CAPITAL EXPENDITURES SURVEY, CONDUCTED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 13, CONSTITUTES THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF FACTS ABOUT THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONING OF A LARGE SEGMENT OF THE ECONOMY, AND AS SUCH, PROVIDES ESSENTIAL INFORMATION FOR GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT FURNISHES AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE NATONAL INCOME AND PRODUCTS AND INTER INDUSTRY ACCOUNTS.
