Abstract: THE LAW IMPOSES A TAX UNDER THE WINDFALL PROFITS TAX ACT. THE TAXPAYER MAY BE ABLE TO OBTAIN EXEMPTION BY FILING A CLAIM FORM 6458 AND SHOWING THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS. WE NEED TO OBTAIN THIS DATA TO DETERMINE IF THE TAXPAYERS QUALIFY FOR EXEMPTION FROM THE TAX.
