Abstract: THE FORM IS USED TO FIGURE AND REPORT THE AMOUNT FOR WHICH THE TAXPAYER IS "AT RISK" FOR ACTIVITIES DESCRIBED IN IRC SECTION 465(C). AN EXAMPLE OF SUCH ACTIVITY IS HOLDING, PRODUCING, OR DISTRIBUTING MOTION PICTURE FILMS OR VIDEO TAPES. THE INFORMATION IS USED TO DETERMINE THAT THE TAXPAYER IS NOT DEDUCTING A LOSS GREATER THAN THE AMOUNT HE OR SHE HAS "AT RISK".
