Abstract: REGULATION SECTION 1.911-1(A)(7) AND (B)(3) ALLOW U.S. CITIZENS ABROAD AND CERTAIN RESIDENT ALIENS ABROAD TO QUALIFY FOR SPECIAL TAX TREATMENT. FORM 2350 IS USED TO REQUEST AND EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE IN ORDER TO MEET THE BONAFIDE RESIDENCE OR PHYSICAL PRESENCE TESTS REQUIRED TO GAIN THE BENEFITS PERMITTED UNDER SECTION 911. THE INFORMATION FURNISHED IS USED TO DETERMINE IF THE EXTENSION SHOULD BE GRANTED.
