Abstract: TITLE III OF P.L. 96-223, THE "HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE ACT OF 1980," THE SECRETARY MAY COLLECT DATA NEEDED TO CARRY OUT THIS PROGRAM. THE DATA WILL BE USED TO EVALUATE STATE PROGRAMS IN TERMS OF FEDERAL GOALS AND REQUIREMENTS, TO PREPARE A LEGISLATIVELY MANDATED ANNUAL REPORT, AND TO ASSIST US AND THE CONGRESS AS WE CONSIDER FY 1982 ENERGY ASSISTANCE.
