Abstract: THE DATA COLLECTED FROM THESE STUDIES ARE USED IN SUPPORT OF ESTABLISHING HUMAN DOSE/RESPONSE RELATIONSHIPS WHICH ARE CRITICAL IN THE SETTING OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH STANDARDS. NIOSH PROVIDES RECOMMENDED HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS TO THE SECRETARY OF LABOR FOR PROMULGATION AND ENFORECEMNT.
