Abstract: THE OES SURVEY IS THE PRINCIPAL SOURCE OF CURRENT AND PROJECTED OCCUPATIONAL EMPLOYMENT DATA AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL AND IS AN INTEGRAL COMPONENT OF THE NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL INFORMATION SYSTEM. THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ACT OF 1963, AS AMENDED, CALLS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION REGARDING MANPOWER NEEDS AND JOB PLANS.
