Abstract: DATA ARE COLLECTED AS PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE DATA SYSTEM DESIGNED TO COVER MORE THAN 95% OF ALL U.S. MORTGAGE LENDING ACTIVITY DETAIL INCLUDES COMMITMENTS, NEW AND OUTSTANDING, PLUS HOLDINGS, ORIGINATIONS, SALES, PURCHASERS AND REPAYMENTS BY TYPE OF PROPERTY AND FINANCING. THE DATA ARE INTENDED TO FACILITATE DETAILED STUDY OF BOTH THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY MORTGAGE MARKET.
